Founded in 2010

In December 2010 the government of Zimbabwe, the shareholder of Noczim, through the Ministry of Energy and Power Development took a decision to restructure NOCZIM by unbundling it into two companies namely Petrotrade and National Oil Infrastructure Company of Zimbabwe (NOIC).

Petrotrade (Private) Limited is a private company duly constituted in terms of the Companies and Other Business Entities Act, Chapter 24:31.

The company is wholly owned by the Government of Zimbabwe. It is a successor Company to the former National Oil Company of Zimbabwe (Noczim).

Mandate

Petrotrade’s mandate is to dominate the fuel retail industry through efficient importation of petroleum products and distribution of same. Petrotrade also ensures presence of government in the fuel industry as the product is essential for economic development.

Petrotrade is ISO 9001:2015 certified. ISO 9001:2015 is an international Quality Management System Standard which aims to enhance customer satisfaction through consistent provision of products and services that meet customer needs
